Telemetry Insights (TI) is an IoT technology company headquartered in the mountains of North Georgia. We design, manufacture, and support AI-powered monitoring platforms for property owners, commercial operators, and land managers who need more than a basic sensor, they need a system that thinks, responds, and protects.

Our Mission

Water damage is one of the most common and costly problems facing property owners. A slow foundation moisture shift, a silent irrigation system running through rain, a sensor that only tells you a number without telling you what to do about it, these are the problems we exist to solve.

We founded Telemetry Insights to bring professional-grade IoT monitoring to anyone who needs it, without requiring an IT team, a contractor on retainer, or a six-figure infrastructure investment. Our goal is simple: give you peace of mind knowing your property is protected 24/7, and that the system is smart enough to act on what it sees.

What We Build

We make two product lines that share a common platform, app, and cloud infrastructure:

Water Buddi, An AI-powered irrigation platform that eliminates scheduling entirely. Instead of running on a timer, each night Water Buddi's cloud AI fetches the next day's weather forecast and combines it with soil moisture readings and environmental data to set optimized watering thresholds before dawn. No schedules to configure. No manual adjustments after rain. Up to 40% less water used.

Drip Defender, An AI-powered foundation protection platform that monitors soil moisture around your foundation perimeter 24/7. It detects dangerous drying and saturation trends before damage begins, turning foundation protection from reactive, expensive repair into affordable, proactive prevention.

Both products run on the same cloud platform, the same mobile and web app, and the same subscription. A single account can manage both product types across multiple properties.

Our Technology Approach

Real hardware, real sensors. Our devices are built on industrial-grade ESP32-S3 microcontrollers with professional RS-485 Modbus soil probes, onboard environmental sensors (temperature, humidity, barometric pressure), optional GPS, and internal battery backup. These are not consumer gadgets rebranded for IoT, they are purpose-built monitoring systems.

AI that actually does something. The TI cloud platform doesn't just display data, it analyzes it. Each night it fetches the next day's weather forecast, calculates evapotranspiration, and fuses that with sensor trends, historical patterns, and GPS zone profiles to make decisions automatically: when to water, when to withhold, when to alert, and when to escalate.

No infrastructure lock-in. Devices connect via WiFi (standard) or through a long-range Hub + Node mesh for properties without perimeter WiFi coverage, up to 500m range, up to 32 nodes per Hub, no trenching required. One unified subscription covers all your devices regardless of type.

Built to last. Internal Li-ion battery backup keeps sensors communicating and alerting during power outages. OTA firmware updates deploy automatically. Weatherproof enclosures require minimal maintenance.
