Install the App

The Telemetry Insights app is a Progressive Web App (PWA) — no App Store required. Install it directly from your browser for the full app experience, including push notifications.

iPhone / iPad

Requires iOS 16.4+

Important: You must use Safari to install the app. Chrome and Firefox on iPhone cannot install apps to your home screen.

1Open Safari and go to app.telemetryinsights.com. Log in to your account.

2Tap the Share button (the box with an arrow pointing up ⬆) at the bottom of the Safari toolbar.

3Scroll down the share sheet and tap “Add to Home Screen”.

4Give the app a name (or leave it as-is) and tap Add in the top right.

5The Telemetry Insights icon will appear on your home screen. Always open the app from this icon — not from Safari — to get the full app experience and push notifications.

Android

1Open Chrome and go to app.telemetryinsights.com. Log in to your account.

2Tap the three-dot menu ⋮ in the top right corner of Chrome.

3Tap “Add to Home Screen” or “Install App” (the label varies by Android version).

4Tap Install to confirm.

5The app icon will appear on your home screen. Open it from there for the full experience.

Windows (PC)

Works with Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

1Open Chrome or Edge and go to app.telemetryinsights.com. Log in to your account.

2Look for the install icon in the address bar (a computer with a down arrow). In Edge you can also use the three-dot menu → Apps → Install this site as an app.

3Click Install.

4The app opens in its own window and is added to your taskbar and Start menu.

Mac

Works with Chrome, Edge, or Safari (macOS Sonoma 14+ for Safari).

Using Chrome or Edge

1Open Chrome or Edge and go to app.telemetryinsights.com. Log in.

2Click the install icon in the address bar.

3Click Install. The app appears in your Applications folder and Dock.

Using Safari (macOS Sonoma 14+)

1Open Safari and go to app.telemetryinsights.com. Log in.

2Click the Share button in the toolbar.

3Select “Add to Dock”.

Enable Push Notifications

Push notifications let you receive alerts the moment an alarm fires — even when the app is closed or in the background. This works on all platforms after installation.

iPhone / iPad: You must open the app from your home screen icon first. The notification permission prompt will not appear when the app is open in Safari.

1Open the app from your home screen icon (or from your taskbar/Dock on desktop).

2Go to Notifications → Settings in the app navigation.

3Tap or click Enable Push Notifications.

4When your device asks for permission, tap Allow.

Once enabled, you'll receive alerts for watering events, device status changes, freeze warnings, and battery alerts based on your notification subscription settings.
